The ASN Annual General Meeting held on 1 December 2021 elected Mr Otto Bitterli to be a new member of the Board of Directors . As the former CEO and Chairman of a large Swiss health insurance company, Otto Bitterli brings extensive in-depth knowledge to ASN. He holds several board positions and has more than 30 years of experience in the health insurance industry.

"We are very pleased that we have been able to welcome Mr Otto Bitterli, a widely recognised health insurance expert, to strengthen our Board of Directors. Otto Bitterli can open many doors for us with his network and is the ideal addition for the further expansion of our market position and the onward development of ASN," said Pascal Fanti, founder and CEO of ASN.

Otto Bitterli views the increasing regulatory complexity and the increased requirements due to digitalisation which are accompanied at the same time by increased customer expectations as a challenge.

“But I am nevertheless very much looking forward to the new task,” stated Otto Bitterli: "Switzerland, which thrives on internationality, must be able to offer client-oriented solutions - despite more stringent regulatory requirements. The significance of these regulatory requirements for every person and company affected and their inherent complexity are underestimated," Bitterli argues further.

He is also impressed by ASN's new product: "Companies, too, are struggling with the growing complexity. This saves costs and gives companies more control," explained Bitterli.
